    I wanna know abt Linux compatibility of this machine .
    will it req ne drivers .. if yes where i can find them
    I havnt used linux yet nd I wanna use it first on this machine

    You can install linux without much troubles on the m1330, so i believe m1530 wouldn't be much different. The m1330 installs ubuntu, slackware for sure, so m1530 should be able to install these to distributions as well.

    Yes drivers will be required, such as the graphics card driver for 3D compiz fusion purposes.
    Depends on what wireless card you get, you will need to download the windows version of the file and use the software called NDISWRAPPER to configure it yourself. In the case of Intel 3945 it work out-of-box on ubuntu, for intel 4965, you will need to use ndiswrapper.

    Details of how to do this you can refer to the ubuntu user forum as it is rather complicated to explain just in words here.

    Actually, I think there is now a native linux driver for 4965...don't get the dell wireless cards. they need ndiswrapper. (and ndiswrapper is a pain in the butt sometimes)

    My 1520 works fine with OpenSuse 10.3 and the only thing I had to install separately was the driver for my 8600gt and that was an easy one to do :D
