Hi I'm kinda in a hurry for the suggestion. So I choose to create a new thread. Sorry for that

I need a lappy(its obvious, isn't it). I was considering the Inspiron 1520. Then came the news of launch of Inspiron 1525. I decided to wait for it. But now I'm a bit concerned. In the 1525 review given in the site it is shown that the model is available with Intel X3100 Integrated Graphics Solution. Is it true. I was looking for a NVIDIA M8600 GT. My main purpose is study, entertainment and gaming(not too much). So can anyone help me with this. Is it available with M8600 GT. Else I'll have to think of something else.

I'll have to make my decision and book/buy the lappy by 20th Jan.

    So please hurry......

    With regards.

No, the 1525 does not have any graphic card at all. There is some speculation that it may get an 8400 later, but no one really expects an 8600 since the 1525 is not designed for gaming:

If you want an 8600, and don't want to pay for an XPS 1530, you should buy an Inspiron 1520 now. It will likely be discontinued very shortly, probably before January 20.

Yes for now that is your only option. you can wait or you may always find something in Dell's outlet like the 1520 in case they discontinue it .

The 1521 and 1520 have been removed from the Dell USA site's 15 inch Inspiron page. They have been replaced by the 1525:

The safest assumption is that the 1525 is replacing the 1520, and the 1526 will replace the 1521. We should find out more tomorrow (EDIT when Dell will announce new laptops), but as of today I expect that the 1520 will be discontinued on a country by country basis as soon as that country's inventory runs out. It is true that you will still be able to buy some 1520's from the outlet for a while. There is also a possibility that the Vostro 1500 will not be discontinued. But don't count on being able to configure an 1520 by January 20.
