Was anyone successful using the built in Logitech cam (A/V package) in AIM live video chat?

I tried with AIM Ver 5.9.6 and AIM Pro. (free , despite the name.)
It works with AIM Pro, doesn't work with the "classic" AIM.

Inside the classic AIM's preferences, I can tune the cam and see it working. The blue light is on.
When I try a live video chat the "My camera" screen is greyed out , the blue light isn't on, and pretty soon I'm getting error messages and the video pane disappears.

With AIM Pro everything works like a charm. You may be baffled when you first try to call for a video chat because the system makes ringing tones as if it is dialing out. But connection is established quickly and the session goes uninterruptedly.

I suggest all AXPS owners with A/V package try this service.
