Why does it say that one year of LoJack Theft Recovery Service is $49.99 on my invoice, but when I call Dell to get it taken off of there, I am told its "free" and they can't take it off???? It doesn't make sense![]()

An option that cant be deleted?

Ask them why it says you were charged 50 bucks for it.
It might just be like that because it's free now. -
Lojack was bundled with my deal. I do not want it. It was also itemized as $49.95 on one of my invoices.
Since it was included with the deal and options I selected and the price I paid was not changed by lojack being included I don't care how they list it on the paperwork. -
If you don't have any use for LoJack, you can return the same and will be refunded the price quoted in your invoice.
-
It might be bundled with your warranty package.
-
Thats what the guy said, but why does it show up as a $49.99 charge on my invoice?
-
That may be their way of accounting for it. On the final invoice, instead of saying "Complete-Care Warranty: $200 (or whatever it is)", it may be broken up into individual components (Lojack, parts + labor, accidental damage, etc) so they and the user knows the approximate value of each component.
-
You're incorrect. If you purchase 3 year complete care which includes Lojack, you can't ask for a refund on LoJack just because you won't use it.
-
He's right. That just how it is.
They itemize different things to deliver savings for different accounting reasons from time to time. They can afford to do it on the service end rather than offer a $50 discount on a technology part which they could end up on the losing end over a certain period. -
They kind of shot themselves in the foot by listing it that way IMHO.

What is the general opinion on Lojack?
Is it worth installing?
Does it cause any software/hardware conflicts?
LoJack Theft Recovery Service?!?!
