Microsoft released a public beta of Vista last night and I am wondering if it's worthwile to create a partition for it on my E1705 and test the thing.

If anyone else has tried this in their laptop, please post your experience here. Also a step-by-step guide would be very useful. Thanks.

If the 1705 is your primary computer, I wouldn't load Vista on it at all. If you don't mind things going horribly wrong, proceed with caution. Personally, I would buy a new harddrive and install Vista on it instead of creating a partition and trying to dual boot XP and Vista.

From what I heard, you should install it on any Dell laptop whatsoever!
