I am the administrator on my laptop using VISTA.

There are some other accounts that I have created.

When I see my account at login, under the Icon is the word locked.

Not sure what it means and trying to get rid of it.

    Thanks

Yes, restarted and I still get the locked.

It does not seem to have any effects.

I'm assuming you had a password for this account, in which case the account will become locked after a number of times of typing an invalid password. Simple solution is to login as a different admin account and reset the password requirement for that account.

    Hi,
Don't have a password for any of the accounts.

    Hi,
    Thanks for quick reply.
I might have logged on initially as user 1 without a password.
I then created user 2 as a back up admin without a password.

How would I get rid of the lock on user 2 if I am the administrator and can log in as user 1?
