Hi,
Recently I put Windows XP Professional on my Dell E1505 notebook. At the time, I had Windows Media Center Edition and had purchased a Logitech V270 Bluetooth mouse which worked great with my pc (has bluetooth capabilities). Now, I have tried reinstalling the driver from the Dell website ( http://support.dell.com/support/dow...00/E1505&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=7388&libid=5). This provided a download for the Bluetooth software that should work with my notebook. However, upon installation, reboot, patch installation and reboot, the Bluetooth mouse will not connect like it used too. I contacted Dell and they suggested taking card out and reinserting. I did so and tried again. It still will not work. I really like this mouse and it frustrates me that this is not working. Any help on this issue would be great.
Thanks!

You might try unloading the dell BT drivers and just using the XP drivers. If you delete the dell BT drivers and reboot, XP should detect the hardware and install its own drivers.

Yup. I use the V270 with my e1505 and the Windows XP driver.

Yes, I now have the Microsoft Windows XP Driver, but it still will not recognize my mouse. Could something be wrong with the mouse? I have discovery on and it will not connect. Any other suggestions would be great. Thanks guys/ladies for helping me out with this!

I'm not sure how are you doing this. It woun't just auto detect the mouse, you have to click the BT icon next to system tray, and let it search for new devices, once you hit search, hold the RESET button under the V270 for 2 seconds and it should detect it right away, if it didn't detect it, hit search again and this time it should be detected.
Have you disabled BT in msconfig i.e. startup items? Which BT you have? 350 or 355? since each one of em has it's own software and steps of descovering new BT devices. -
Zolo, I can't thank you enough for your help. I did exactly as you said, and it was able to locate the mouse and install for the mouse. I never know that you had to hold the reset button while trying to search for a new bluetooth mouse. I guess im not too familiar with all this stuff. That really helped me a lot. I have Bluetooth 350, I didn't know that is how you set up bluetooth devices.
Thanks again!

No problem bud, thanks for the rep. AFAIK hitting the RESET button is the only way for the mouse to be discovered. I have a BT remote control too and I have to do that same thing after reinstalling BT driver. RESET should be labeled "Discovery ON" for the mouse.
