    Long delays for batteries [Vostro 1310]

    I ordered a Vostro 1310 on the 24th of June and got an est. delivery date on 4th of July. This date has been pushed back several times and yesterday I reveived a new date which increased the delay with almost a month :(

    The computer passed the production state about 2-3 weeks ago and has since then been in prep. for delivery. Estimated date is now 12 of August.

    According to customer service its the 6 cell battery that is out of stock. It's a bit weird that they decided to build the computer anyway, they must have storage for ready built computers which are lacking its battery.

    Has anyone had any luck in getting compensation for these kind of delays?
    The computer is beeing built in the Ireland factory.

    weird, I placed my order for a 1310 last Thursday (17 July) and I got mine on yesterday (21 July). Only 2 business days!

    Weird still, I ordered mine with the 6-cell battery option.
