I am at my finaces place and forgot my charger. She has a Latitude D600, and the plugs look the same size, but I don't know about the actual power output. Any one know if it will work?

I don't think they are. According to dell's site, the XPS 1210 & D420 have compatible powerbricks.

Well, I did a test fit, and it would fit, I just didn't let the contacts touch. I'll keep looking I suppose.

Wait, another charger (70 watt) is listed as

    Lind Electronics
    70-Watt Auto Adapter for Dell Inspiron 300m/500m/600m/630m/640m/700m/710m/8600/B120/E1405/1501 / Latitude D400/D410/D500/D505/D510/D600/D610/X1/X300 / XPS M140/M1210 Notebooks

    So maybe they are compatible?

The Dell XPS M1210 uses the "PA-12 family" adaper. It is rated at 65W (19.5V, 3.34A) maximum.

As long as your Dell (or aftermarket/OEM) adapter you have is the same/compatible with the "PA-12 family", it'll work.

Dell actually uses pretty standardized parts for their adapters and many are interchangable between models. In fact, the 2 most common of them are the 65W PA-12 Family, and the 90W PA-10 Family, and used throughout their Inspiron, Latitude, Precision and XPS systems.

The Latitdue D600 also uses the PA-12 adapter hence, yes, you will be able to use it with the XPS M1210.

A word of caution though, newer Dell notebooks seems to have an intelligent power adapter ID capability, and in fact when you use non official Dell aftermarket/OEM models, you will find that you won't be able to charge the battery while using the system under AC power.
