Just got my new XPS M1530 and have a couple of questions.
1.) My trackpad buttons (left click and right click) pitch back and forth a degree or two, is this normal?
2.) My screen is the SEC3350. I guess it would be "grainy". I would call it sparkly, or some prismatic effect. Most of my LCDs I use display this characteristic to one degree or another. Still might call and try to get an LG screen. Does Dell replace screens within the 21 day period or will they only send a new computer?
3.) My left hinge was squeaking every time I moved the lid back and forth. I pushed down on the left speaker cover, nothing popped or snapped, but the squeak went away. Think it was some adhesive not set right?
4.) The ram / cpu cover was not attached correctly. One tab was sticking out. Its the first thing I saw taking it out of the plastic and I am like WTF? It wasn't even close. I unscrewed it and put it on correctly, but still..
Overall I really like it. I loaded up WOW and its really nice running it at 1680 by 1050 @60 frames a second. I am moving up from a desktop with an Athlon XP 3400, BFG Geforce 6800gt OC and 2 gigs of ddr 400 ram with a 17" Viewsonic lcd at 1280 by 1024. I must say, it definitely feels like an upgrade.
I will post pics tomorrow. Its a midnight blue 1530 and the color is way darker than shown on the website. Its really nice.

My first mouse buttons were the same way -- particularly the left one. My replacement 1530 is much better.
As far as the screen goes...the jury is still out on that. I should have my screen replaced with the LG one early next week (maybe Monday).
Hope you enjoy it otherwise.
