    guys,

i just reformated my 640m. Got it working. Problem is, i lost my hibernation button when i click turn off computer. I know that holding the shift button will show the button and replace standby. what i want to happen is to add a button for the hibernation? how do i do that?

Also, i lost my shortcut button for hibernation after i reformated. Is there any other way to get it back besides installing dell quick set?

    Thanks!

hit up Southergirl's reformat guide. you need to reinstall a couple things other than just the drivers; i.e., the chipset software

Try holding down the Shift key while the "Turn Off Computer" dialog is up. You have to do that on my desktop to see it. Just a thought.

Check out Microsoft's site. It is a common problem with XP, and right now, I don't think there is any hotfix for it, so you'll just have to use the shift method. Another option is to make it so that when you hit your power button it goes into hibernation.

Start -> Control Panel -> Power Options -> Hibernate

Make sure 'Enable Hibernate' is checked.
