Lots of BIOS beeping on Inspiron 15z (1570). What is causing this?

When I boot up my computer after it's been off for several hours, I hear lots of BIOS beeping in no particular pattern. This goes on for at least 10-15 minutes. The laptop is fully functional and I've reseated the RAM but the BIOS beeping problem persists.

Any idea what could be causing this or how to turn it off? Thanks

Any beeping while it is in normal operation would be related to the battery status, or possibly the audio driver is not loaded in which case windows uses the system beep driver. The laptop supports said driver and will output system beeps through the normal speakers.
