I have had my M1330 for a little more than a week and every time I use it in public I get a significant number of folks complementing how nice it looks and asking questions about features and weight. It seems everyone is surprised that Dell can put together such a nice notebook. Any one else get alot of complements?

Yes, many folks have congratulated me for having such a beautiful gf, and handsome son. Just lucky I guess. :D

Congrats to you on a very nice machine.

lol...congrats...I have gotten a few compliments on the 1520..."ooo...it looks nice"...."oh wow, that's really sexy".....etc. (I kid you not...but it wasn't from strangers, it was from people I know, so it wasn't awkward)...

The (first?) client who saw my M1330 remarked, "Wow, nice! I see you picked a Sony this time." To which I replied, "Actually, it's a Dell, though I hear they do look alike". True story.

There's a shiny Dell logo squarely in the middle of the lid... How is that Sony again?

Cause the m1330 resembles the Sony SZ in many ways.
But I gotta say, it's somewhat easy to confuse with if you take just a quick glance at it.

I am not greatly surprised that no-one has commented on the M1330 here - but what I am surprised about is I haven't seen any others to pass comments on. In the cafes I frequent (visited by the well-off in Beijing and also a lot of students) I see many Vaios, Macs etc... some business workhorses like Thinkpad - but no M1330s at all.
