    Sup, my mom wants to get a laptop for herself. Just for bascily internet and email etc. i thought the 710m would be good for her. the e1405 is good but i heard the screen sucks. What is the lowest i can ge ta 710m for ? ive tired and got it down to 1000 w/ tax.

    Are you sure she will be comfortable with the non-fullsize keyboard and small high resolution screen? You can get the 710m for less using the Dell coupons:

    By the way, have you looked at the B120/B130? Those might work if she doesn't need portability.

    The screen on the E1405 isn't that bad, just dont have things on the screen that are black on the bottom :D
