    I have an XPS M1210 with a 1.83 GHz 667 FSB core and 2GB 667MHz RAM.

Shouldn't the RAM be running at a 1:1 ratio?

Whats goin on here?! Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks

it is DDR2 RAM (Double Data Rate)...which means that while your speed is actually ~333MHz, but an effective rate of ~667MHz.

They do the same thing with the FSB, because it is "quad-pumped"...resulting in a real speed of only ~167MHz.

    167MHz:333MHz is
    1:2

I hope this helps, and anyone who knows better feel free to correct me :)
