For some reason, when listening to music on my m1210 (headphones or not) a lot of times (like 70% of the time) when I click a link on the internet or open a program, the music gets really choppy and staticy, then it returns to normal right after. The CPU load doesnt shoot up or anything.

What can I do to fix this? It started up completely randomly, and there werent any big changes right before it happened.

I sometimes get that problem too. I would recommend getting rid of the artifical integrated sound blaster... you have sigma tel. My sound does get screw up when i play bf2 staticy and choppy. Althouhg I'm running on a 7 speakers /1 subwoofer configuration on this lappy :D! but it plays fine on FEAR and OBLiVION... I couldn't find any update for our audio driver either =(

Okay I just fixed the problem. The lady on dell chat told me to press f8 during a restart, and choose "last good config" and that fixed it perfectly.
