When I plug in my M1210 to the power adapter, should I take out the battery if it's full? Can my battery overcharge and lose battery life?
Thanks.

If you leave it plugged in, your battery will just recieve a slight maintenance charge to keep it at full. Unless your laptop and adapter are seriously damaged, you could never overcharge the battery while it was in your laptop.
You could just take the battery out if you really wanted to, keeping it away from the heat of the laptop might increase its shelf life, but won't do anything for its limited charge cycle lifetime. It's not really something most people would ever worry about. -
The battery will stop charging when full.
There are various opinons on the matter of whether or not you should keep the battery in or not. -
I was wondering about the same thing, but decided to keep it in so that dirt and other stuff wont go in the lappy

Probably a good choice Fusion, damaging the contacts and latching mechanism in the battery slot would probably undo all the good leaving the battery out might accomplish.

Out of curiousity why wont Dell ship the notebook with some sort of a snap-on cover for the battery section (if in fact they exist) so that if you aren't keeping the battery in the notebook you can use the cover to prevent dirt from getting in.

Cost probably, why bother when 99.9% of consumers would just throw the thing away? Also, you'd have to reinforce the cover internally with ribbing or something so it would fully fill the gap, otherwise it would bend and bow into the battery compartment.
Though on that note, my e1405 DID come with a little blank for the SD memory reader and the expresscard slot, but no covers for the ports on the sides or back. They could if they really wanted to. -
Is it possible to buy them seperately? i mean i am willing to pay 20-30 bucks if its available
