Hello everyone,
I'm not too laptop savvy so I hope someone can help me out.
For some reason my M1210 is having problems booting all the way. I'm not sure what I did for this to happen as I don't really install programs other than games (the last install being Company of Heroes a month ago). Anyway, what happens is that when I turn the computer on, the Dell splash screen will come up then followed by the Windows XP splash, then after that nothing else. The screen stays on, but no hard drive activity. It just stops. I even waited for 20 minutes at one time and nothing. I usually go through 3 or 4 restarts before it stops being retarded and boots all the way.
I tried booting in Safe Mode however I don't get that problem.
I have reinstalled XP thinking that maybe that's the fix but after adding all the drivers only and no programs, the problem is still here.
I hope someone can help me find a solution for this.
Thanks in advance.

From what I have read this problem can be attributed to
a) SPTD (i think thats what its called) driver from Daemon Tools 4.xx or Alcohol 120%
b) Logitech Webcam Drivers and/or the AEC control in them
When you say you redid windows, did you install any webcam drivers or Daemon Tools?
(I have/had the same problem...I upgraded my SPTD drivers and webcam drivers and it went away...there are many threads about it if you search here and on google)
