Hello guys, I searched in all the forum guessing that maybe there was a thread similar to this, but I didn't find it...
The issue is I bought this M1210:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.00GHz
2Gb RAM
Go 7400 256Mb
Well, the first game I installed was Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and it worked so pretty pretty well in average graphic settings, I played CS, Sim City 4, Flight Simulator 2004, the first time I experienced this problem was when I installed Sniper Elite... However, the thing is that RIGHT NOW I play a game for a while and the game just goes like 4 fps, goes lower and lower, till almost 0,3fps... There are some slashs in the screen and strange sounds, the only one way to restore the game is doing Alt + TAB, wait till desktop load and click on window again. Idk if my graphic card is damaged or something like that... Please help me.
Thank you!

1. Check your drivers, and update it (fist thing you should do)
2. You running' windows Vista?
3. if your graphics card is damaged, (which is unlikely) uh... oh ****, you have to replace your whole 400 dollar motherboard. BUUUT, that is quite unlikely. plus nothing would work.
Check the game settings. that is your best bet. Perhaps reinstall it, or check the compatibility -
Thank you, well, what can I say, I run XP Media Center edition, uhmmm... I'm not sure if those are the latest versions for this Video C. I'll make sure, thank you.
[Edit] I play at the min graphic req and still the same problem. -
Install i8kFanGUI and check your CPU and GPU temps when it happens.

Overheating usually cause the CPU (and perhaps even the GPU) to clock down. This will result in a gradual decrease of game speed (FPS). Given the symptoms overheating is one possible cause .
If overheating is the issue, then either your fan is failing, lot of dust has gathered in the heat sink or the heatsink+Fan is not seated properly. -
OMFG! This is so good, I open my M1210, first time I open a laptop so I was little scared, I readed the instructions by dell, and when I removed the fan I was soooo amazed how much dirty there was... Now my cpu temperature is 45 ~ 48 (before 55 ~ 60 and up to 70 when playing games).
I seem to be the worse XPS owner hahahha, however, thanks guys, so much, Vizel, Phoenix. -
um that might of been ur thermal compound
M1210 Game problems, maybe 3d...
