Just received my new 1210 and right away I notice some weird pattern on the screen.
It is noticable mostly on the start menu or any dark areas. I already uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers.
It looks almost as if there is a fine screen (like a screen door) over the monitor.
Any ideas?

What do you have your color quality set at?
-
I can see a difference in gradients if I switch between the two. -
Does that same "problem" show up in the BIOS screen (or POST screen)?
-
-
Are there any other drivers I can try?
-
Thanks but as I said I already tried the dell drivers for the nvidia 7400.

You could try Omega's forceware drivers: http://www.omegadrivers.net/nvidia/win2k_xp.php
Try enabling clear-type and make sure you are running at native resolution and 96DPI. -
Well I tried the omegas and same thing.
when no drivers are installed it looks normal. -
it sounds like the samsung screen i had on my 1405 changed to an auo and problem was solved also my 1210 has auo screen and it is perfect no light leakage or graininess so i am extremly happy with it

Hopefully that takes care of it.
