I recently saw this notebook in person.
Seemed very cool to the touch, I imagine the model I looked at was running for some time. Doesn't matter what Core Duo processor you get, they all consume the same amount of power and will thus have the same relative amount of heat.
Seemed solid. We have a review of the M1210 here, it will answer that question better than I can:

With respect to the webcam, it certainly seems to require a lot of light. When I don't give it much light, its fairly grainy. With some sunlight though, it works great.

I don't think there's light leakage on mine, although the vertical viewing angles are a little wierd so that even at an optimal angle the bottom of the screen is slightly more washed out than the top.

However, this isn't even noticeable (even if you look carefully) unless you're on a black screen (e.g. Windows XP screen saver), and even then it's not really TERRIBLE, just not pleasant.

From what I can tell the unit is EXTREMELY solid, although the lid is bendable (which bends the LCD) - this shouldn't be a problem, though. Heat isn't exactly the worst I've ever seen, but I really would rather it run significantly cooler - the top gets warm, the bottom gets warm-hot. I haven't heard the fan yet, and I've been in this quiet room on battery power for about an hour now, doing nothing intensive.

Do you kinda get a rainbow-grainy effect? I get that all the time.... Sunlight seems to take care of it though.
