I have 1 Gig of Ram on my M1210. My 3DMARK05 score was 1569. Is that normal for 1 GIG? I have heard of people getting over 2000.

If it is not the RAM what else could it be?

If it is the RAM does anyone know a post for step by step instructions on replaceing the RAM? I assume the I have two 512's installed taking up both slots. Can I get a 2 GIG Module and leave the other 512 installed. Then I would have 2.5 of RAM. Any help would be greatly appreciated it! Thanks
    Thomas

Looks like the M1210 has 2 Memory slots so you will need a 2x1GB kit to get a total of 2GB's.

Memory can effect your 3D performance, especially if your system shares the System RAM with the video card.

Might want to check if it's actually the RAM. Try using MemTest.

try to uninstall unused programs, or do the msconfig thing were you disable startup items. this helps most of the time especially if you notice you have more than a handful of icons on your system tray.

If it's Vista, I'd definitely recommend 2GB of RAM. My XPS M1210 was sluggish with 1GB running Vista. If it's XP, then I'd recommend msconfig and cleaning up your system since 1GB should be enough for XP.

It is VISTA. I am showing about 360K of Free Ram with only two Windows Open. I just order 2 Gig of Ram from Newegg for $84.00 which includes the 3 day shipping.

Vista and 1GB is a big problem anyway, gaming or not. So do it.

It will be the best 100 bucks you have spent, ever! :)
