Anyone here using Skype on their M1210?
The sound keeps cutting out every couple seconds, making it hard to hear and I think the sound is cutting out for the people on the other end too. Make no difference using either the built-in mic or a plug-in mic. Tried every possible sound device settings in Skype without luck. I used the "test call to skpye answering machine" function and could clearly hear the sound cut out every couple of seconds.
Any idea what could be causing this problem?

This happens on my Sony sometimes...its when their a lot of processes running aka your overusing the CPU / RAM and not alloting it enough processing time for Skype, thus the choppy voice. Closing a few processes or atleast those which are using a lot of Memory should work.

After closing them restart Skype and it should be fine.

Wow, I have 70 processes running right after my M1210 boots up. I'll have to see what I can get rid of. Thanks for your advice, I'll let you know what happens.

I just figured out the cause of my Skype sound problem.
Logitech's AEC (acoustic echo cancellation) was doing more harm than good.
I turned AEC off and no more problems.
The only drawback now is having to turn down the mic level, so the other party doesn't hear too much echo.
