I downloaded MobileMeter Version 0.3.1.0, and I have a few questions about my computer's temperature:
The first temperature bar says that my laptop is running at 66.5C.
The HDD bar says that it's running at 47C.
Now, is it just me, or is this extremely hot?
I'm a bit concerned because I'm not exactly running anything intensive. I run firefox (sometimes up to 20 tabs), Outlook, Word, etc., often together. However, I am plugged in too....
Thanks for any help!!!

I don’t have any temp monitoring software, but I do need to download one to keep tabs. Which one should I download
I8kfanGUI version 3.1 or MobileMeter Version 0.3.1.0 ??
PS: my lappy gets a lil hot than usual at times -
I use RMClock, because it not only shows vital statistics of the temperature, I could even underclock to CPU to save power.
With the amount of L2 we have these days, we can handle most task at 1Ghz or less. -
Iceman0124 More news from nowhere
Thats fairly average, and way out of the danger zone. I suggest I8kfangui, its made for dells and will give you control over the fans, I keep mine running low constantly, and kick into high at much lower temps, around 40-45c I think, currently I run at mid 30's for light load, seldom crack 50 under heavy load. You also might want to check for dust/dirt build up, a choked fan can be a problem as well.

my proccessor can go up to 65*c when playing 2142, and my HDD goes anywere from 45 to 52 depending what im doing

Mine also stays around 40 ~ 55 under normal load (browsing, word processing, movie watching etc..) with a room temperature around 20C. Yours is not too hot, especially if the room temperature is close to 30C. Remember, room temperature also has a significant role in overall temperature of the notebook.

Like many others as well as based on personal experience, I highly recommend using I8kfangui on your Dell to check temp & control fan speed.
