Ever since I got my XPS1210, the webcam has been generating a tremendous amount of heat. I've applying a usb power management hot fix and disabling the webcam in the device manager, but neither of them worked. Does anyone know of a way to remedy this problem. Right now it feel hotter than the CPU. Thanks in advance,

I've changed the title so it doesn't sound like spam...perhaps that will help you.

Anyway, while I don't have the M1210 it does sound like there is a hardware problem. I'd give Dell a call since it sounds like it might need to be replaced.

Is any other part of the LCD screen hot?

Well, I just touched the webcam and it is a little warm, but definitely not hot. Also, the webcam is not in use at this moment, so I am a little surprised as to why it is warm.

I tried upgrading the drivers and calling technical support, but they were of no help. So, from what I can gather, this is normal?
