I just received it a few days ago. So far everything looks okay except the DVD burner which has loud mechanical noise (robot movement sound) after closing the DVD tray before it starts spinning and after spinning down before ejecting. Very annoying   :( Watching DVD movie and reading files from CD were okay.
Anybody has the same problem for the same model. I have 2 6400s at home and the movement sound were quite gentle.

Mine is Samsung. I've only burned 2 dvds so far (i got my 1210 last week) and it only occurred the 2nd time so I don't know if it's a regular occurrence or not.

Dell engineer just came to replace it with NEC one (6650A model). Now the DVD burner works fine and quiet too. :)
