Oh, I just want it to get to kitting so I know it's being built. I know nothing about speed -
u should of got the 7200 rpm hd! thats gonna suck for you
-
I'd rather have space over speed for the price. Plus I'll upgrade later if it does indeed suck.
Also, the 100gig 5400 still has an 8meg buffer, so it should be alright -
its not gonna suck, its gonna be SLOWer! your going to kick yourself!
-
Slower at loading only. Not an issue in my eyes, plus I'll get better battery life, which I'll need.
Like I said, if I do end up hating it (can't see that as my other laptop has a 5400 and aside from the processor, that one is fine), I'll get one off NewEgg. -
yes i'm past kitting, now i'm in the building phase!
-
When did you order?
-
i ordered on 6/2/06
-
Oh, ok, I ordered on 6/5, guess I have a few till kitting
-
-
yeah, no A/V for me either, which looks like a popular feature.
-
Does the 1210 have gigabit ethernet? I can't find anything on Dell's worthless site that has the specs.
-
it should, most new systems have gb ethernet
-
Go to service, look up the owners manual, and check the Tech Specs on everything. I have it on my desktop at home, but I am at work or else I'd just give it a glance for ya.

what 3dmark? 3dmark2005 0r 2006 ?
-
-
3dmark05 it looks like -
is the 12" screen too small for you? Is 12" too small for everyday use of the laptop?
-
I have to say, posting from a 1210, that the screen is perfect for me.
Good brightness, no bleed, crisp edges, I love this screen! -
can anyone with the m1210 post some pictures (maybe running a program/playing a game. the outside, etc etc)
-
-
hi guys,
i have to decide between the sony sz2 and the dell m1210...
how is the dell one in terms of weight ? would u say easily portable ?
the dell seems cheaper value than the sony...
my only problem is the bulkiness and problem is that i cannot actually see one of them in my hands before i buy....hope u can advise me..
thanks -
its 3dmark03....
go with the dell over the sony. I have owned the following:
Sony TX, Dell 700m, HP DV5000t and now this.. Its the best hands down -
wow I ordered mine on the 15th and they shipped it out today (19th) guess I lucked out. is this unusually early?
-
Only took mine a few days to ship too. Ordered on the 5th, got to my door on the 13th. And that was with the free shipping.
M1210 on order!
