What are your CPU usages at idle?

Right now, I'm just idling with nothing running in the background and the setting is max performance with the AC adapter plugged in.

I'm getting a fluctuation from 47-54% CPU usage. Why is this so high? I'm not even doing anything. Can anyone share their information? Thanks.

IPPI are you running vista or XP?

This is really bothering me, I don't know why the heck I'm idling at such a high percentage.

Mine is idling at about 20% right now (well it's not really idling I got a whole bunch of things running which makes that seem pretty good)

Steam is Valve's program they use to let you play counter-strike and other games
