I just recieved my XPS M1210.
The first thing i did was to reinstall a clean copy of windows.

But i cant install my bluetooth card (Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Internal Module)

I downloaded the drivers from the webpage but when i try to install i get some problems with "One Click". It tells me to connect my computer before I can continue.

Do i have to do anything special to install the bluetooth?

I had this same problem. Un-plug then re-plug the card. Its located right under your battery, only 1 screw to take out. Then before you install the drivers turn you wifi/bluetooth switch on. That should let your system detect the card and allow you to install the driver.

I don't believe you have to do that. Just make sure first thing is you have that tosibai driver and switch it off and turn it on and let it run. It's gonna take about 15 minutes i have no idea why it takes so long... it keeps updating the firmware each time.

I have just installed the drivers/software on two laptops (fujitsu). They are made by toshiba. The take an age to install. I actually stopped it the first time, thinking the install had frozen. They are not licenced to MICROSOFT, so they cannot be supplied by windows. Seems unlikely that you have to touch (screwdriver) the hardware at all (would seem crazy on dells behalf).

I had problems with my bluetooth also. I installed the one's through Dell's site but gave me problems (computer froze a lot). I realized that I didn't have a Toshiba Bluetooth stack and I reinstalled my OS and did not install anything for the bluetooth. Worked and my laptop still recognized the Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Internal Module.

Not so sure about that anymore. Been installing for an hour now. It goes right to 56% and then stops. Computer doesnt freeze or anything but the installation seems to do nothing.

I am pretty sure that the BCM2045 is the bluetooth device?

And it wont install. Or else the install takes ridiculously long time.
Install has been on 56% for 2hours now.

It turned out Dell had given us the 355 card instead of the 350 which we were supposed to have.

    Bluetooth up and running now.
