How much faster is the T7600 vs T7400 vs T7200?

I want to upgrade the CPU in my M1210 from a T2400 @1.83.

Will I notice a big speed jump?

If you want a speed bump, you are better off investing in more RAM or a faster HDD.

Processor upgrades will only result in noticeable differences when you are doing massively large computationally intensive tasks.

Playing Oblivion, playing DVDs (doesn't do so well), compiling gcc, foxpro development. Will I notice something with these?

Playing Oblivion = mostly depends on the GPU, therefore Not much difference.
    playing DVDs = No difference
compiling gcc, foxpro development = slight (almost negligible), definitely not worth the money.

As Greg said, you are better off upgrading RAM and HDD (RPM). How much RAM do you have right now ?
