Is there any way to use the bluetooth without activating the wireless? I'm trying to use a bluetooth mouse, but i don't want to waste battery with wifi.

    Thanks!

Go into the intel proset wireless and turn off the radio. If you want the fn+f2 button to just turn off the wifi, you can change that in the BIOS.

More specifically, right click on the proset toolbar, choose open proset, at the bottom left of the window should be a option to turn off wireless. if you are using windows to manage your connection you should be able to turn off the adapter in my network connections by choosing "disable". Hope this helps.

You can just go to the device manager, and disable the network card so that it is never on until you enable it again.

In the device manager, you can disable/enable some devices. I have things that annoy me like my ethernet port disabled, BT disable, etc cause I don't use it very often. To get to the device manager:
right click on my computer-->properties-->hardware tab-->click on device manager-->network adapters-->right click on your wifi card-->choose disable.

Now anytime you press FN+F2, your wifi card will not turn on or off since the device has been disable.
