    Hi,

Whenever I open or close the lid, I can hear it creaking and some small objects rolling inside, as well rubber sliding against rubber noise. Plus, apply little pressure to the battery and it creaks. Seriously, I'm having on-site come and replace the plastic around the lid, though that probably won't help and I'll have to opt for a replacement. This is ridiculous (I've only been using it for 2 days!)

Right now I have it on my lap and any movement makes the battery creak.

No, that definitely doesn't sound normal. No creaks with either of the M1330s I've got here.

I got a creak/squeak when pressing the left touch pad button, Dell is sending someone out to look at it. I think Wed or Thur.

It keeps getting better. The LCD screen is now tilted. If you look at the screen, say in windows xp, the right side is sliding down. Wow, thanks Dell.

yea the onsite replacement will NOT help.

I have a Vostro 1500, and it has a problem similar to yours. It creaks when I turn the lid up and down. An Onsite repairman came and replaced my lid and hinges and the problem still exists even though it is better now.

I called and they said that If I am not satisfied with the on-site repair results, then they'll start a replacement process. Probably trying to stall, since many systems are still delayed. Oh well. The M1330 would really have been perfect, had it not been for the external defects.
