Hey guys i just got my new m1330 a few days ago, after i downloaded cs: source i thought i would do a stress test just for fun.
i currently have the 165.01 driver with rivatuner (400/600) and i hit a pathetic 45fps on the stress test. i know it shouldnt be considered a real bench mark but with the same settings i am getting higher with my xps m1210 which i tried the stress test on immediately after this one. what can the problem be?

Whats the best overclocking software for a notebook? I saw somethere that rivatuner wasn't as good for notebooks?
What are people using to overclock their notebooks, particularly their 1330?
Thanks -
I am not sure to be honest. i dont know much about overclocking the M1330, i remember it was pretty simple with my M1210 not having to worry about all these different drivers and patching the INF files or whatever...i dont really know what im doing right now...

I'd also like to know what other m1330 users use for drivers and overclocks, I'm guessing you got your drives off laptopvideo2go .. I currently use 169.09 on my m1330 and it seems to run fine

Bump, can any overclockers chime in?
i dont there is a certain thread of anything with a straight walkthrough for OC'ing the M1330 -
Just speaking for myself and possibly others that have had a huge concern about heat from the GPU within the M1330 that has burned out our GPU's and caused Dell to replace our motherboards, the last thing I'd be suggesting is overclocking the GPU. Yes, the system can be overclocked, but at what price? I think it just reduces the lifespan of the motherboard / GPU, because I seriously think that the M1330 struggles with heat under normal circumstances and I don't think the A04 revision board, which dell replaced, is the solution. Not trying to scare you; it's your computer to do what you want, but check this forum for a thread on gpu meltdown and you'll find the earlier adopters with the A00 and A01 motherboards are experiencing problems with thermal heat. Whether the A04 board solves this problem remains to be seen, but a 5 month old notebook being sent back to Dell to get its motherboard/GPU replaced and its happening in numbers is something to be concerned about especially when you are talking about doing something that adds even more heat internally to your system.
