    Hey all,
Although the stupid mediadirect button makes me mad as hell, the functionality of it is actually pretty cool since I don't have to load windows and it'll just load that mediadirect program.

Now say I did a clean wipe of my drive and the button is useless. I understand people are able to dual boot Os's with this button. Are there other programs that has the same functionality as mediadirect? The program itself isn't stunning either and the Windows Media Center looks a ton cooler. Would I be able to make a partition just for the WMC and have it work like mediadirect? I'm sure it's not easy since it'll need some boot info or whatever programmed into it.

But would it be possible if someone wanted to do it?

I have not read anyone finding a way to do it when it is off. I would guess that it is only possible by the manufacturer.
