    Hi,

What is the M1330 made of?

A lot of the parts seem to be plastic. However, even though each individual part is thin (e.g. Screen cover,) the laptop itself it pretty sturdy.

How does the material of the M1330 compare to other laptops in it's category (screen size, portability, width and etc.)?

    Thanks. :)

It's made out of plastic, like every other laptop. The m1330 is pretty well built, should hold up in the long run, though you never know.

The lid is the only fragile part of the laptop from what I can tell. Although Dell says it's a mag-alloy lid, it definitely feels like plastic and is a bit flexible, although ripples don't show through on the screen, which is good.

The rest of the laptop is just solid. The aluminum palm rest and mag-alloy chassis makes for a very solid feel. I can easily pick it up by a corner with the display open and it still doesn't creak or groan.
