If you can get THAT for under $2,000, you're golden.
I haven't really checked those out, but that sounds like list it would go for $3,000, and on average (meaning you don't find a smart way to get discounts) you're gonna pay $2,500, but I don't know. -
2K or less after discounts. Not worth more. I paid $1550 including taxes for a product Red T8300 including features above.
-
I live in the United Kingdom and i paid £1541. if i convert that into dollars its around $3081. however in the uk you have to pay vat at 17.5% and laptops are generally more expensive because of supply and demand etc. the t9300 processor just came out today in the uk. do you think i should upgrade any components such as the processor to a t9500 for an additional £300 pounds or $600 is it worth it ?
-
As of this moment, the T9500 is an additional 80 quid according to the thread I just made about the release mate.

Stay with the T9300. Even the T8300 is a very fast machine. I've underclocked mine to run at 2GHz as I like to have a really cool machine.

I've heard these guys don't do very accurate benchmarking but it's a data point, take with a grain of salt. -
At least here in the US newegg sells 4GB of RAM for between $60 and $80. -
I bought all of that, minus the LED screen, plus the tv tuner card and gyroscopic remote last night for $2200...
Main reason I didn't get the LED screen was because of the fact it'd take an additional 15 days and I will not be in the united states then and I need it before I leave.\
EDIT: Also a router is included in that price, so I only spend $2110 for the laptop... Found out calling a decent rep beats out buying online any day. -
£1,150 max
Last time i looked it was only £30 to upgrade the ram from 3-4GB.
You are paying far to much in my opinion. In a few weeks Dell will start lowering the prices again. If i was you i would get on the phone and try and get a better deal. Although it can be a real pain to have to do this many people have got very good deals by doing just that. -
I paid $2000 for my config a month ago. Of course, it's ONLY a T7500
-
heh taking into account prices dell's webconfiguration utility presented me today... whatever your price is it beats mine by a lot...
Here's the screenshot of Polish Dell site... no modifications - straight from the reality

Europe is SUCH a rip off. Long live the USA.

-
Currencies rise and fall? That doesn't automatically make things cheaper or more expensive. What's your point? Europe has always been a rip-off.
And by the way, the BD is pegged to the USD, isn't it?
