I googled and searched these forums, but couldn't find any info on this...

On my old 600m, if one of my batteries went dead, I could put the computer into stand-by, then take out the battery, and put the new one in, and then bring the computer out of sleep in about 5 second. This was due to a small, Li-ion batter underneath the main battery compartment that was able to supply enough power to keep the computer in standby, without any installed battery.

Does anybody know if the M1330 is able to do this? Or would i have to shut down the computer? I sometimes have 6 hours of class in a row, and I always need to switch batteries in between.

    Thanks,

    -Schmitty

I would like to know if this is possible as well, and I would test it, but I only have a 6 cell.

I don't have an XPS m1330, but I was reading through the manual of my 1420 and it states that this was possible, so I tested it by pulling out the battery in sleep mode and putting it back in. However, it didn't seem to work and it lost power completely.. =.=

Sweeet...that's good to know....thanks all! I didn't really want to try it as all of my school docs are on my computer and don't want to risk it.

    thanks!
