I will prolly chose the red lid for the m1330. Was curious about which color will be more popular, thats why i made this post![]()

I prefer black, red is a little too flashy for me.
-
Do you think the white would get dirty quickly? I would choose white (if it wouldn't collect dust and fingerprints) and then red, and then black
-
I have no idea which one. I think the red is cool but you could get bored with it after a while. Black is the safe choice. Im leaning towards white.
-
Its between White and Black for me. Leaning a little more towards white
-
The white's looks like a macbook
-
I'd go for the red...black is too plain and white I'd get dirty.
-
I dont get the white lid... I mean the biggest complaint people had with the last inspirons were the colours. Glossy white and silver do not look good together.
If i get one, i'll prob. go with black. If i get the 1520, i am torn between black, yellow, or blue.(wish they offered orange/copper, like toshiba) -

I choose black.

Black for me, I dont like red and glossy white just aint my thing.
-
Black. It matches with the inside and bottom of the computer, and it looks much more professional than the Red. The White is just weird; glossy white should not mix with light silver.
-
Red = too flashy
White = i hate glossy
Black = matte, sleek, understated -
I like the red, not just because that's what we have in here right now, but becuase it has more personality than black, without being in your face. The bright glossy white is just a little too much for me.
-
WHITE!!
dL -
I'm going for the black one
-
I'll have to see it in person,
#1 white
#2 black... -
If anyone wants to see what the white lid looks like, there are a couple videos on http://www.direct2dell.com/ where you can see it next to the red one.
-
I like the black one
-
Too bad the chocolate brown isn't an option. I'd love to get that in matte. It's the perfect blend between originality and professionalism IMO.
-
I’d choose black because it match rest of the exterior. But if more parts of the notebook (like bottom/sides) painted with other colors I might choose a different one.
These color options are no better than putting on a quick snap cover or a sticker. -
-
the white one looks sleek... :/ and the black one is professional-looking. hmmz decisions decisions..
-
Black one would look so awesome in a business meeting.
-
I will go with the Black
-
I will go with the Black
-
-
BTW, this poll will clearly skew black, because the order in which the answers were provided. If you list black first, most people will opt for black.
-
Black is in the lead because it's preferred by the most people. -
-
just ordered a black one
-
-
We should have put pink first and see if anyone would pick that color
-
I got the red, but I am thinking black would have looked better. We will see when I get my 1330
-
If I was still getting it, definitely black.
-
I ordered mine yesterday and I got it in Black. I would never get red and there weren't enough pics of the white for me to tell if I would even consider it.
-
I also ordered mine yesterday, in black.
-
I chose black. Looks professional and classy
.
Edit: Whoops I forgot this was for the m1330, I got an E1520. -
I got a red. Black is too common for a notebook.

Red is nicer on the M1710, but I find it somewhat garish and repulsive on this one. It would have been pretty cool if they had made the laptop completely black.
I think the red on the Inspirons is a much more kind shade (Mercedes Bordeaux Metallic instead of Ferrari Scuderia Red) almost maroon, but that wouldn't go well with this laptop either. -
I selected red but didn't have a very strong opinion. I quite like the idea of white but my reasoning was:
(a) Black - very common. Good if you want your notebook to look like any other.
Good heat emitter but the LED screen shouldn't be very hot. Good heat absorber - not so good in the sun.
(b) White - I think that it might be quite nice. Good for reflecting heat in the sun. However, white is currently an 'in' colour so in a little while it might have become unfashionable.
(c) So I am left with red. -
So I guess I picked black exactly because of your reason A. For me it's best for it to look like any other notebook. -
I chose black because the other color options just werent that good.
The white just seemed more of what a female would choose for their notebook and i dont have ovaries.
The red just seems like a sad cry for attention. -
ordered black, the whole m1210 theme grew on me.
-
i chose black too... let's hope I don't see another m1330 like mine
I still haven't seen the m1210 yet in person so... -
The black with silver trim matches the Logitech Z-10 speakers and Samsung 930B monitor I have waiting to pair with it. I also plan to purchase the Dell bluetooth keyboard and mouse with the M1330 that are also black with silver trim.
Plus it matches my Aspire X-Navigator PC case, Samsung 226BW monitor, Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 3.0, and Dell Axim X51v that I have set up at my main desktop. -
I have ordered the white
