I chose red. White gets dirty easily and black is too dull looking.

Isn't the white a glossy finish though vs matte, rubbery hard-to-clean surface? I'm thinking it might be easier to wipe down....not that it matters as I got the standard issued black :p

I wish they had a nice Dark Blue One !!!! That would have been my ideal choice...I'm sure they will add some more colors down the road....

I think white at the moment, but I may go for black.

i already had the M1210 for almost a year so it's time to get something that is somewhat different. the midnight blue would've been perfect but the crimson red is an A- so it's good enough. white doesn't say "Dell XPS" to me.

I went with a black one. I didn't like the red, and my GF has a Samsung Q45 with a glossy black cover and it looks nice.

I would have loved a bright glossy yellow however.

Mine will be a red one. I hope it will be a worthy successor to my red Samsung Q35.

Black is is too prolific at the moment and white might prove challenging to keep clean.

Black is simply too sexy to resist.
Although, I must admit the white is very tempting also.

    Tough decisions :D.

Went with the black. I'm relatively conservative in my styling tastes. What can I say?

The white does look rather nice in some of the pictures I've seen.

The White gave me the wannabe Mac inpression. It has a nice gloss but doesnt go well with the silver. If they offerred a brushed aluminum option I think it would be more popular than the white, and it would be my first choice. The white is just an attempt to appeal to the Mac crowd out there thinking about crossing over.

The black is conservative and a very good option for most professionals. I like it, its plain and not too bold. It doesnt attract attention and make a loud statement. It was my second choice. It also doesnt attract any unwanted attention by ambitious thieves.

I personally chose the Red. Its the color of my alma mater. Its flashy and bold, and demands attention. Im an architect so in that field I would prefer to stick with the conservative black. However I also moved into commercial real estate development and sales which requires a bold confident first impression. Every detail in my appearance and accessories plays a psychological role in influencing clients to spend millions of dollars with me. My girlfriend warned me it might make me look gay carrying a red laptop around like it was fashionable. However when walking into a meeting I always appear confident and bold, very masculine, and project a sense of power to my clients even though they have all the capital I need to do my job. Some people wear red power ties. I prefer other methods. If the red were a little more glossy that would be perfect. I'll add a Ferrari Scuderia shield to my 1330, and it will compliment my Ferrari pens I carry.

For me red is an accessory to my presentations. Its bold and thats what my clients want, bold and flashy usually means money. So I give them thier moneys worth. I gain thier admiration because I can show their potential profits by new concepts they didnt realize on thier own. They see a unique Red laptop that isnt common and associate that with unique and innovative ideas. For me its all about the presentation of myself and finding tools to compliment that. A glossy red would be perfect.

Later on, if my position changes or my needs change, I can always skin the laptop with a more conservative color, but never plain black. Any skin options I consider in the future will be carbon fiber or brushed aluminum.

I chose red, white reminded me of the old Inspiron 6400 I had - and that was a definite no. It was a pretty big beast. I didn't opt for black because I knew most people would choose black and I didn't want it to look too conservative like the IBMs/Lenovos or the HPs. So Crimson Red it is. :) I've also seen a Dell video preview and one on YouTube and the red looks pretty cool, didn't look girly or pink ... I'm sure I'm safe with Red. :D

I'm crying sadly for attention. :D

It was close between black and red but I guess the red just looked nicer to me.

I would have picked white if it had been all white like mac or zepto.

I wouldn't worry too much about that Topspin, people are showing up with all sorts of wacky color nbs nowadays. My first year there was a guy with an alienware with the blinky eyes. I think he was appreciative when I told him he could turn that off in the BIOS :)

But, in law school, there's absolutely nothing wrong with slipping quietly into the middle of the pack. In a number of ways.

I would have liked a REALLY dark blue (like Orient Blue Metallic on BMW 3-series). Plain-jane Navy blue looks too much like a Toshiba Satellite color, but Sony had a deep-deep blue carbon fiber lid for their international TZ series laptops, which looked sick as all hell.

I wonder how difficult it would be to swap out the covers without axing the warranty...

The whites a little tacky, the Red's too flashy.. The black looks subdued and nice.
