M1330 9 Cell Battery--For CHEAP!!!!

Wow, even the batteries are delayed. I guess I shouldn't expect to the the 6-cell and 9-cell that I ordered to arrive sooner than the M1330.

 

and how are you going to do that when its not available online? are you planning on asking for a price match w/ the US site?

most likely they'll say that is US and therefore it belongs to a different offer... I don't think it'll work.

 

Got my 6 cell and power adapter today. Took 2 days to get here.

no, actually. my order was delayed, just like someone else's in this thread to 9/19. they better not charge me the difference...

 

and the 65 watt power adaptor went up from only 30 dollars to 79.99. man dell is just making mistake after mistake.

You called it correctly. These prices were low for 2 months. Once this thread was started the increase was bound to happen and it sure did.

 

At least some people were able to get in on the good deals than would have if the thread was never started. I figured Dell was going to find out sooner or later, so I might as well let some other folks know about it sooner.

The price has gone up yesterday to $169 for 9cell battery...I am not able to make it to get the new one but the reburished one is still $69 so I think it's still a good deal afterall.

 

My 9 cell for $59.99 was delayed until 9/19 too. No doubt that once you post something here and people start buying, price will go up!

Could these be delayed so they'll be cancelled eventually? Aren't some orders cancelled after being delayed twice?

 

Or that there were just so many people buying it, it caught Dell's attention.

I remember a couple years ago, AT&T wireless had a computer glitch that had a Sony Ericsson bluetooth car kit (one that requires installation) for $1 that normally costs around $400. Someone found out and posted it on the net. Within a few hours people posted that every store was sold out of the car kit. Couple days later stores restocked and the price went back to the normal $400.

$29.99 really is a damn good deal

 

So has anyone gotten their 9 cell for $59??? Those must really be backordered or they're not gonna let them go that cheap. Once I get this 9 cell, I don't think ill have anymore use for my old 6 cell.

 

They had better let the 9 cells go for that cheap, though it is kind of fishy that right after I order my 9 cell for cheap, they push the ship date back. I'm almost hoping that they are indeed backordered, how about that for a paradox... actually wishing that Dell is backordered and not trying to screw us over on a good deal...

 

I would be angry that if they aren't gonna send them, the order hasn't been cancelled yet. If it was cancelled, I'd just order a refurb. and forget it. So hopefully they are going to honor that previous price and not drag it out. If it's delayed again, I'll make sure I get some concession. I need that 9 cell

I am sure that Dell ways of monitoring unsual activity on their website, they're all over this cheap battery issue. You can still get a refurbished 6 cell for $52.95

Yea, they probably are the reason for our orders getting pushed back, AND for Dell fixing the prices. They could make a ton of money though, with 200 @ 59 each, resell for 150 maybe, 91 dollar profit, 18200 dollars in profit... why did i not buy 200...

Nope, mine hasn't gone through either, I want my money back! I'm gonna complain and get that 9 cell one way or another. I can just imagine some little grimlin on the other end delaying our cheap 9 cell orders

9 cell was delayed again and I was given the option to cancel or continue. I'm gonna continue for 1 more week and see if it ships then. I doubt it does, but then I'll call Dell. I see no reason why they shouldn't honor their ad on the website. It was like that for weeks and I'm sure others ordered as well. I won't just let this one go since some people did get the cheap 6 cells they ordered.

 

Yea, mine was delayed again until the 26th of September, we'll see... maybe they just really are out of 9 cells? Has anyone who has ordered a 9 cell NOT at the discounted price received theirs?

 

the 9 cell refurbished battery is not listed anymore. My wall acts as my battery for most of my laptop's life so i'm not too worried, but it would be nice to have the 9

 

Another delay, this time mid-October

 

They just delayed mine to 3 October. Bastards.

 

I don't think the 9 cell is ever gonna come. I've only spoken to one person at Dell who would actually help me. She said it would be a long before they had any 9 cells. Out of curiosity, I'll call Dell spare parts now and see if they have any batteries.

**Edit, Just called Spare Parts. I think when a rep fails the customer service training class, they stick them over in spare parts. I had to repeat my service tag 3 times! Then rep says 9 cells are available today only for $152.99. I say I've already ordered one and its delayed 3 times already. She says they have 9 cells on sale. She says she's gonna go ahead and place the order on my Dell Prefered Account. NOW wait a minute! I refuse and tell her I just wanna think about it. Then she says okay and ends the call. Must be desperate for sales What rudeness though, to mention I have a DPA Account and she's gonna go ahead and place the order without even asking how I wanna pay for it.

 

Yeah what kinda delay is that, one week?

They delay it for a week, then force you to contact them, then delay another week and you have to contact them again?

Whats the point, people get sick of contacting them so they dont have to fulfill these orders?

Next time I have an hour free, im gonna call and speak to a manager, threaten to return my m1330.

 

Me too, if they delay again after 3 October. I can't believe that Dell would not honor sales because of their pricing mistake.

 

I think Dell is scamming us here, and they want as many cancellations as possible. I also got delayed to October 3rd (6 cell), and I am not holding my breath.

 

i ordered two 6-cells the day before they took them off of the site and they shipped withing 2 days of ordering. Though the invoice does say that they are from the spare parts department meaning they're probably refurbished. Anyways, sold all 3 that I bought and made a $150 profit, not bad =) Plus all of the owners are satisfied with the product which is always a plus!

 

Maybe they are waiting for M1330's to be returned so they have enough of those "used" batteries to ship out.

 

Good news, I ordered an 9 cell and extra power adapter for my M1330 it finally shipped today!!!!!!!!!! I am so shocked since it was delayed 4 times and I almost cancelled yesterday. I guess it pays to wait! Order the same thing today and it's $208 before shipping, even refurbished. I got everything for $80 shipped.

 

Mine got shipped today too, after being delayed at least 4 times. I got mine for $68 after shipping and everything.

I seriously though Dell was purposely delaying the order so I would either 1) Miss one of the emails and not have time to give my consent for the delay or 2) Have me cancel it out of frustration.

 

Same here, one time I was supposed to give consent to continue the order, but the consent box was gone from the page. I had to call in several times to confim my consent. Maybe after this 4th delay, they realized we'd never give up! I called Dell probably 10 times trying to get a 9 cell battery, or find out where mine was. Unless it was actually about a system, no one wanted to help me.

 

Just got delayed again with another consent to delay...

 

I finally called last wednesday, spoke with a guy in the Software and Peripherals division, asked if they had any 9 cell M1330 batteries in stock. He said they did and then I grilled him on why I didn't have mine yet. Long story short, he transferred me to Customer Service, I explained my order had been delayed 4 times already but they had the part in stock. The guy told me he would ship it out immediately, and sure enough, I got it last Friday. 2 days later. Wow. At least I finally got my 9 cell, and my invoice says nothing about being refurbished or anything like that.

 

Mine finally shipped today - we'll see when it gets here, I guess.

 

I got mine at the exact same time. Maybe they saw all of our orders. I'm happy with mine and like yours, it says nothing about being refurbished. The extra power adapter I got looks new too.
