    Hey,

I ordered my m1330 on 8/6/07, and ever since then, whenever I check the order stage, it said in "build stage." So I called yesterday and inquired what's going, and the CSR said the Black LED LCD is on backorder. My original shipping date was 9/14/07, and right now when i check it, it's still 9/14. I was wondering will this backorder effect the shipping date?

I never know it would take more than few weeks for the laptop to arrive!! But from what I have heard and read, the wait is really worth it!!

Also, resolution on my current laptop is 1400x1050, and it looks fantastic. What's the max resolution m1330's screen can handle? Around the same?

Also in the future, if I want to update it to SSD harddrive, will it be possible to replace the spinning hdd that comes with it? Mean ssd and spinning are same size with same connections?

    Thanks a bunch.

Yeah, I just hope the build quality is good, and not like some users have had when they received it. That will make the wait worth it.

native default resolution should be 1280x800 i.e. WXGA however if you run it through external display it will be limited by the specs of the 8400 card in it.

as for the SSD hard drive, it should have SATA connectors - however the SSD ones i've seen are IDE ones. you probably need to get it specifically from dell as it seems to me the casing enclosure is part of the body shell itself. (i could be wrong on that - when i get my unit, i'd be better able to explain on this)

u can take off the casing off the hd that 1330 came with and put in another one. SSD drives can't be PATA, cause 1330 don't support it. I wonder, how much would it cost to put this one in?
