M1330 Bluetooth Problems on Format

Hello,

I wiped the bloat resource hog that Vista is off my XPS M1330, and upon going back to XP I got everything working EXCEPT bluetooth.

I *THINK* the reason bluetooth doesn't work is because I flicked the wireless switch off before formatting and forgot about it, and only just turned it on. Wireless was picked up and it works fine (upon installation of drivers), but bluetooth doesn't:



How to fix?

Any help appreciated!

 

i have the same issue. formated my 1330, installed XP pro, got every thing to work but got stuck on bluetooth. my device manage looks similar to yours. I tried looking out for BCM2045 but not sure which one is the right driver.

Off Topic: whats the name of the style you are using on your XP.

 

um...I had this w/ BT turned off then did a format of Vista. After formatting the computer didn't show the BT up. What I did was to install the BT software from Dell but not using the Install Wizard. I mean, I didn't click the "setup.exe" from the folder "3100_216." Instead, I clicked the "setup.exe" from the subfolder "Win32" and finally my BT got recognized as in OFF status. I hope this may help you.

 

Are you talking about the driver on the Dell driver & Utilities disk. Also have you tried it on XP?

2.No as I love my Vista but I would guess it will be pretty much the same for XP.

 

There is a hotfix for this..under Bluetooth radio switch heading.
R159805.EXE Utility to enable the BT Radio after a downgrade from Vista to XP or Vista to Vista if radio is software disabled before the downgrade.

Run this utility before installing the XP Bluetooth software drivers or on the Vista OS installed.

That driver pack gets the bluetooth working .

Ok no problem after doing it correct on our 2 other M1330 when it came to my laptop ok using Vista I forgot also..
