I don't even use the drive much.. I don't watch dvd movies on my laptop. The only time i use the drives are to burn some stuff for backups and installing games/softwares. Best part is I'm flying back to Melbourne tomorrow, and now i cannot take it with me.. as i bought this from Singapore, and i have called dell singapore, they will send someone down next monday to service it.
grrrr.. only about 5 months with this laptop.. and i got this kind of grieve already.. Im already considering selling this off.. and getting a m15x![]()
Just wonder if theres anyone who faced this problem too.. i'm thinking of restoring it back to factory status to see if the laptop works.. The drive swallows and spits out cds/dvds fine.. just that it always say drive is empty..
Any opinion/suggestion are welcome! cheers!
PS - I was burning a back up of my Osaka trip photos, Nero sudden failed at 64%, after that.. my drive just can't read anything anymore.. sob sob..

Also if you have any packet type writing software this also could be the problem so if your not using the packet software uninstall or disable it. Packet type software(Allows you to use the CD/DVD disc like a floppy).
PS:Have you any virtual rom drives? (Clone, Nero, Alcohol 120 etc)
M1330 CD/DVD Rom Died on me..
