Note: I used RMClock to eliminate the CPU whine as per Vengance's thread and now it seems that the fan is running nonstop even when nothing is being done on my notebook.

Let it run so it does not overheat.

The fan shouldn't run if the temperature is low (i.e. about 45C and 55-60C for CPU & GPU respectively). I am using RMClock 2.35 right now, but mine stops properly. I am idling right now at 45C and 55C.

Does this also happen while running on battery (since it might reduce battery life)?

You may want to have at least Thermal Monitor 1 checked. If you enable TM2, then the clock range gets stuck between 800MHz and 1.2GHz (bug in RMClock).

You could consider the problem being to do with dust in the air vents? Have you sprayed canned air in the vents or taken it apart and cleaned it recently? I do the vents on mine every 2 weeks and take it apart every 3 or 4 months now.

I know my fan runs all the time even when the
thing is idling at 36 degrees.
But I'm just going by what I've heard that that's okay, keep s it cool.

And I'm going to wear headphones alot..lol, cuz I really love my m1330

Have you tried under volting your cpu. My fan rarely runs when I lock the cpu around 1400MHZ and .900 volts. Also glad to see my thread alive.
