Hi, I have been monitoring the temps of my Geforce 8400M GS in my XPS M1330 and noticed that the fan seems to be coming on rather regularly. I monitored my temps when the laptop was idle (some windows open but i wasn't using it) and noticed that they keep going up to about 75 degrees C then the fan comes on and cools it to about 66 then they start going up again and the cycle repeats. Does this seems normal for a laptop of this size? I thought maybe thats just the way it is since its so compact, that the heat just builds up and needs to be disappated. Do any other M1330 users have similar temps??

I have attached the temperature profile that I get. The steps represent 1 degree C each and the lowest is 66.

    Thanks for any feedback.

Doesn't make a difference, I changed everything to Classic Windows but the temp trend is still the same :p

Ah okay, I was concerned that 70 degrees was too hot, although it does seem odd mine keepsp going up to 75. Maybe the fan profiles are set too low...
