    M1330 HD Question

    I have been using mu computer for 1 week now, and i notice that when itis idle the HD keeps reading constantly i can hear the sound and i can see the light flasing rapidly, how can i check what is happening, i also have the same problem in 1 desktop, i now this is not normal but cant tell wich aplication is causing that is there a way to look for the aplication that is accesing the hd

    What drive do you have (mfr)? And what OS are you using?

    Most likely culprits are either Windows Vista's disk indexing service or Defragmentation utility...

    I have the 5400 RPM 120 GB Hitachi HD that is included in the M1330 and i use Windows Vista Home Premium

    Sorry for the question but i dont know what is the indexing service, What it is for, can it be desactivater, and the defragmenter worcks auto?
