Hi, I'm on my 3rd XPS M1330 (the first two had lose clips and wobble). this third laptop seems to be fine in terms of build quality. The only inital flaw i saw was that it had a cpu whine but i decided i'd live with that. But now i've found a new possible flaw. On top of the cpu whine my HDD (hard drive disk) makes nosie. even when i set it as "quite" mode. And just today i found that even with the laptop off, if i slightly "bang" the left side of the laptop the hard drive makes a noise. It should like if the hard drive head is not "locked" or parked into position.

Let me explain wat i mean by "bang":
If I put the laptop in my lap and lift the left side by less then a inch and let go it makes a noise. The noise is like a spring being streched and then letting go of. Is this normal of a hard drive?

Should i order a replacement hard drive? should i order a replacement laptop, hopeing it will get rid of the cpu whine as well but fear to get another laptop with wobble and other defect?

if i do order a replacement laptop (that would the 4th one), i think they should give me some sort of upgrade for my inconvinec? how would i ask for some sort of upgrade?

    My XPS M1330 Specs:
    Crimson Red Casing
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T7250 (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB, 2MB Cache)
    Standard LCD CCFL display
1GB ram (bought 2GB from newegg)
    120GB HDD 5400rpm
    Integrated graphics Intel x3100
    Dell 1490 Wireless a/g
    bluetooth module
    6cell battery
    No fingure print reader.

If i were to ask for a upgrade in part, what is the most likely thing they would upgrade?

Thanks for the help in advance
