I believe the chipset supports it, I would like to run my M1330 in 1:1 fsb:ram ratio. I am upgrading my M1330 T7500, 2GB to 4GB. Would love to stick some PC2-6400 (800Mhz) Ram in there and not have it clock back to PC2-5300 (667Mhz). Does anyone have any experience in using this ram with this processor (or the T7300). By the hardware specs, it should work, unless the bios doesn't allow it.

    Thanks!

sorry only support 667mhz. dont bother. stick with 667mhz RAM.

The motheboard chipset does not support 800mhz memory.

There have been several threads asking this exact same question. Search first, ask second!

I read through them, some people said it would work, others said it wouldn't. I was just looking for someone who has tried it.

Would anyone expect a firmware update to allow support for it? Should I get the 800mhz RAM if it's only a bit more expensive? Or should I just go for what's cheapest!

    Thanks!

I haven't checked, but the 800 MHz RAM may have worse (higher) latency timings than most 667 MHz RAM. In this case, assuming the motherboard runs it at 667 MHz, it'll actually run slower than if you bought 667 mhz RAM, due to the worse latency timings.

800 ram will work, but not at that speed like others mentioned before.

The chipset is what's limiting that, so you have to get a new chipset that supports the full 800MHz speed. So no, you can't just download an upgrade, you physically need a new motherboard in your machine. And since those aren't out yet, there is no way to run that memory at full speed. You just have to wait for future hardware launches with ddr2 800MHz support.
