Had some build quality issues with my original M1330 that I finally decided to take care of last month (plastic is warped/not glued down in places). Everything went smoothly with tech support, and I was given a dispatch #
Now when I log into the Dell Support page with said dispatch # all I see is as follows
The "Not available" part worries me, wondering if anyone else getting a replacement has seen the same?
I have an email from 1/29/09 in where I expressed concern about not being able to even view the status page, I was getting "no results found" for my dispatch # and service tag. That's the last day it was updated though, and the rep responded with excellent English "You have nothing to worry, everything is find. The system replacement is in processed. I have also send an e-mail to our to dispatch team."

How long has it been stating the above information of *not available*?
There is a good chance that the system is either updating the latest information, or that there is issue with it not updating correctly.
You may want to call Dell directly on this, and ask for the most current information on when your 1330 is going to be shipped to you. I know you spoke woth a Rep on the phone but that was a few days ago. And, it looks like you haven't heard back from anyone on the Dispatch team, either
It looks like the process started on 1/21. Today it's 2/6. That's a bit of time with no updates, as such. If it were me, I would get on the phone for further resolve.
Keep us posted on this!

Well didn't even have to call, just checked and the replacement has been shipped overnight via FedEx as of today. So that means I should see it Monday.

A Monday delivery is almost *here*

It is great news, granted it isn't poorly built like my original M1330.
I'll find out Monday, and if it's put together well, my faith will have been restored and I'll be ordering a Studio XPS 1340 shortly thereafter (I'll wait until after they receive the old M1330 just to be safe). -
Yes, I would also wait until the old was returned & received on Dell's end, and all was cleared up...Then, joyfully order a new lappy!

Opened the the replacement, big dent right above the left-hand corner of the touchpad. That's all I needed to not want to buy another Dell again, sure it won't bother most people, but ugh!

Take pictures of that, and when talking to a Rep...see if they would like to see the pics of the dent on your touchpad.
What are you going to do with this one???
