Those viewing angles are not any better than what I get with my CCFL. According to their tests, average brightness at maximum is only 198cd/m2 which is much lower than advertised 300cd/m2 (even lower than that of CCFL !). And its is not uniform either ….

So after all, does the LED screen really lives up to all the hype ? My CCFL is bright enough, only things I want to see improved are viewing angles and more uniform brightness (not overall brightness), but looks like the LED screen fails to deliver that.

I'm glad for not wasting $300 on a slightly thinner screen :p

Great overall review, although I don't agree with their Doom 3 running sluggish at high settings. Doom 3 and Doom 3 resurrection of evil run at max settings on my M1330 without any signs of slowdown.

The screen option is only $150 now.
